Despite the model being advertised as a 3 ton Scarab, the tractor unit is actually a 6 ton version
Models are listed in numerical order rather than by date of release. All models were packaged individually and with the exception of CC11301 and CC99140 in a coloured illustrated box specific to the contents.

Four variations of chassis casting exist, shown above (from left to right)

15001 Scarab with Covered Trailer ‘Sharp’s Toffees’ (not released)

In July 1997 Corgi announced a ‘Confectionery Collection’ of six models in various sweet manufacturers’ liveries, but only two were ever released, a Bedford O and a Thames Trader. The above image is from the July-December 1997 Corgi Classics Catalogue

Pre-Production Models
From time to time, Corgi have offered pre-production models for sale
Whilst not particularly valuable, they are an interesting variation on the production version
97913 Rail Freight Grey
This pre-production model is an over sprayed yellow 97911.
The main trailer decals are self adhesive and differ slightly from the production version


97917 Watneys
This pre-production model also has an over sprayed yellow cab The cab roof barrel is smaller than the production version and lacks the flat mounting area for the Watneys decal Paint finish is production green but with a darker red chassis

This model has no mounting holes for the cab roof barrel and lacks the chassis mounted tanks Paint finish is production red but with a darker green cab and trailer
