Graham Avis Scammell Scarab ✅

Introduced in 1999, this range of models was the first ‘ready built’ Scammell Scarab to be produced to 1:148 scale (N gauge) since the Matchbox version from 1955. The model was finished in a variety of prototypical colours or could also be purchased as an unpainted kit. Supplied shrink-wrapped onto a card (two designs exist), the model comprised a tractor unit, two dropside trailers (one with the undercarriage raised and one with it lowered), a cream tilt cover, two figures and two packing cases. All parts are metal castings apart from the tilt which is resin.

Known colours are red with red tilt, red with beige tilt, grey with grey tilt, green with beige tilt, maroon with beige tilt and dark maroon with beige tilt. The club would appreciate any information regarding other colour versions.
