The Oxford Diecast company was founded in 1993, with its range of 1:76 Scale OO Gauge vehicles being launched in 2007, the Scammell Mechanical Horse models were first introduced in 2008. These include a retractable trailer coupling on the articulated versions. The Scammell Scarab models were introduced in 2008, with the Bedford OX series introduced in 2013, with some of these articulated examples featuring a Scammell coupling, utilising the same flatbed trailer as the Mechanical Horse range.
The range of 1:148 Scale N Gauge vehicles was launched in 2008, with the Scammell Mechanical Horse models first introduced in 2009 and the Scammell Scarab models introduced in 2010. These are smaller scale copies of earlier 1:76 scale releases.
They are all excellent models with the articulated versions retractable trailer coupling locating in a hole in the tractor units chassis.
